Who am I?
In my spare time I enjoy lifting weights, running, reading, teaching Sunday School, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy acting and have performed in several plays and commercials. I recently participated in a charity marathon for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Maui, Hawaii and the 5K Red Bean Race for PRIDE. I spent my summer in Minnesota at my cabin along the shore of Lake Superior training for the marathon and delivering pizzas at Sven & Ole's.
I attended Clearwood Junior High for 8 years and graduated from Slidell High School in 1990. I then went to University of Southern Mississippi where I graduated in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Coaching and Sports Administration. From there I studied at the University of New Orleans and received a teaching certification in Social Studies. In 1998, I attended St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota and received a teaching certificate in Physical Education. I am currently in my second year teaching. I also have several professional certifications which include: Certified strength and conditioning specialist, certified personal trainer (National Strength and Conditioning Association), USA weight lifting club coach, USA track and field level I certificate, and membership in American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. I am also American Red Cross certified in Community First Aid & CPR.
I am a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Slidell where I teach Sunday School and am active in the evangelism and worship committees. I coach soccer and track at Creekside Junior High and am currently the JV head coach and assistant varsity coach for the girls basketball team at Northshore High School.
